Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown Overview
Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown is a lakeside 4 star hotel in Queenstown CBD. It’s an easy 7 minute walk from the centre of town. This is a really well located mid price hotel, perfect for families, conferences or couples on a budget. The lake view rooms have fantastic views and there are plenty of them.
The rooms are tiny with the standard rooms starting at only 18 square metres. Nicer rooms are 21 square metres which is still small. A one bedroom suite is 36 square metres, as is a family room. It’s a good option if you are out and about and just use the room to sleep.
Restaurants
The restaurant Bazaar Interactive marketplace is actually part of QT hotel. A 5 star hotel from the same parent company located next door. This means you get a 5 star restaurant to enjoy at a 4 star price. However the restaurant has 5 star prices to match the ambience and decor.
Negatives
There’s plenty to fault at Rydges from the tiny rooms to the tired decor, but at the end of that day that is reflected in the price. Focus on what you do get which is a fabulous lakeside location and great views, for a reasonable price. Just leave any expectations of luxury at home.
