Holiday Inn Queenstown Frankton Road Overview
Holiday Inn Queenstown Frankton Road is the older of the two Holiday Inns in Queenstown. It’s an average 4-star hotel aimed squarely at families. And it’s great for a family holiday – everything here is family friendly from the rooms to the restaurant and everything in between. Located in Frankton Road a 10 minute drive from the centre of Queenstown. It’s also a popular conference venue.
The standard rooms are a decent size at 26 sqm, the king rooms are a touch bigger at 28 sqm. Since the renovation the rooms are really nice this a solid 4-star hotel.
Restaurants
Lakeview dining offer a really good standard of dining at reasonable prices. Open 7 days for breakfast, lunch, and diner. There’s great views to go along with the food.
Wellness
Holiday Inn’s Lakeview Mind and Body Spa offers a range of treatments including massage. They’ve got a recently renovated (2021) fitness centre and a sauna.
Negatives
It’s a drive to town, or a long walk (50 minutes each way). The hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside but it’s pretty nice inside. Pricewise it’s a little more expensive than some other family hotels nearby, but given the standard of the interior it’s a fair premium to pay as the cheaper hotels have pretty dated interiors.
