Gibbston Valley Lodge and Spa is a luxurious 5 star lodge with a spa and a vineyard. It’s perfect for a romantic couples getaway. The wine is as spectacular as the scenery. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and the food is excellent. Stay here because you love wine, good food and a want to escape from the world for a couple of days.
The suites are 65 square metres which gives you plenty of space to relax. Or take things to the couch in front of the fire place if the mood strikes you.
Gibbston Valley Lodge Dining
The restaurant at Gibbston Valley is top notch. They have an excellent winery, so the menu has been designed to pair with their own wines which is pretty unique and a real treat. Their trust the chef option is the way to dine. Just relax and enjoy.
Wellness
Gibbston Valley Spa was judged New Zealand’s best Spa in 2020 so this is a top quality offering not an an afterthought. There’s a great range of treatments to pamper yourself with and the spa experience comes with a glass of bubbles to help you relax. Guests love the sauna, and the hot tub under the stars.
Negatives
This is an amazing luxury Lodge experience, but it isn’t the quintessential Queenstown experience. It’s a fabulous destination for food and wine lovers, and the spa is magnificent if that’s your thing. But it’s not really in Queenstown so probably not the pick for an adventure holiday. This isolation is also part of what makes it such a great couples destination though. The perfect place to get away from it all. Not so good if you’re looking for action.
