Blanket Bay Overview
Blanket Bay is one of the finest small luxury hotels anywhere in the world. You come here to relax and get away from it all, so it’s located well away from from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown at the Glenorchy end of Lake Wakatipu. The views are spectacular and nothing you want is a problem. The service here has to be experienced to be appreciated. Blanket Bay is fit for Royalty. The hotel has a lovely pool but it’s not open in winter.
Should you want to visit Queenstown, perhaps for a few beers and a Fergburger it’s a very scenic 40 minute drive. Or a short ride in a helicopter. Reviews for Blanket Bay read like a thesaurus; how many different ways can you say stunning, wonderful, spectacular, amazing, incredible…. You get the picture, you can’t get better than this, you can only get different.
Rooms here are not just large but the level of luxury and quality of furnishing is beyond compare. The smallest rooms available are 35 square metres of pure heaven. The luxury suites are 65, and the deluxe chalet suite is 130.
Blanket Bay Restaurant
Breakfast and dinner are included when you stay at Blanket Bay and the quality of the food here is on par with everything else. It’s spectacular. You will not be disappointed.
Blanket Bay Spa
Blanket Bay Spa offer a range of treatments including massage, reflexology, aromatherapy and lymphatic drainage. As you would expect from Blanket Bay it’s best in class.
Negatives
The only negative is the price. Sadly it’s a little to expensive for many people to ever experience it. However considering the experience you get the price is actually great value, with many guests commenting that it’s worth every penny. If you can afford to spend a weekend here once in your life you should. This is on a whole other level to regular 5 star luxury.
