Mahu Whenua Overview
Mahu Whenua used to be Shania Twain’s house, but it’s now a super luxury lodge ready for you to enjoy. Located in the high country 20 minutes drive from Wanaka. The location is secluded and private with stunning scenery. This homestead/lodge is everything you could hope for and more. With a luxurious but homely feel this has to be the most welcoming down to earth lodge that’s somehow still fit for a billionaire.
The Lodge has 5 Suites to choose from they vary from very luxurious to spectacularly luxurious. They also vary slightly in size but even the smallest is generous at 35 sqm. The hardest decision will be lake view or mountain view.
Mahu Whenua Dining
All meals and most drinks are included at Mahu Whenua. The chef will cater the menu to your preferences using fresh local produce. Breakfast lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon tea, picnics, pre dinner canapes. Nothing is a problem and everything is delicious.
Wellness
Mahu Whenua can arrange for all manner of spa treatments, and they have a great heated pool and hot tub.
Negatives
It may make you ‘feel like woman’. Other than that terrible Shania Twain pun, there’s really nothing bad you can say about this magnificent lodge. If you can afford it, then this is an experience you simply must have. Make sure you go horse riding while you are there.
