LQ Queenstown is Wyndham hotel near Queenstown Airport. It opened in December 2020 so everything is nice and new. The hotel offers great views of the Remarkables and of the Kawarau River. LQ Queenstown is an excellent choice for business travellers who need a cheap place to stay. But, it’s also not a bad option for an extended ski trip on a budget.
Ramada Suites by Wyndham Queenstown Remarkables Park
Ramada Suites by Wyndham Queenstown Remarkables Park is a serviced apartment style hotel near Queenstown Airport. The rooms are self contained, with kitchenettes in the studios, and small kitchens in the one bedroom apartments. The rooms are serviced daily. An added bonus in some rooms is the great views of the Remarkables. It’s at the bottom end of 4 star, but perfectly acceptable for most normal people, rooms feel clean and modern, but not luxurious. There’s a supermarket and plenty of shops nearby. Best of all, it’s really close to Queenstown Airport.
Wyndham Garden Queenstown
Wyndham Garden Queenstown was new in 2018 so it’s still in good condition. It exists to provide affordable hotel rooms near Queenstown Airport. If that’s what you want then it’s great. It has great views of the Remarkables from some rooms, and it is excellent value. Wyndham Garden is also modern, which is a bonus at its relatively cheap price point.
Sudima Queenstown
Sudima Queenstown is a 4.5 star hotel in the Queenstown suburb of Five Mile. It’s close to the airport, but it’s also not far from Lake Hayes. The area is mostly big box stores and supermarkets. The hotel itself is lovely, easily one of the nicest hotels near Queenstown Airport. You’ll probably want a rental car if you are staying in this area, it’s called Five Mile because it’s 5 miles from the centre of Queenstown. Guests rave about how comfortable the beds are, and the exceptional service.
Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa
Hilton Queenstown is located in Kawarau Village on the edge of Lake Wakatipu. It’s actually really close to the airport, as the hotel is right at the airport end of the lake. Kawarau Village is a beautiful spot, and there’s a ferry from the wharf at the hotel into town. This is a great Hotel for couples or families. It’s quieter than hotels in the centre of town, and it is one of the closest hotels to Queenstown Airport. It’s a 5 star resort, so it is very luxurious. There’s a great pool, some suites have private hot tubs. The restaurant Wakatipu Grill is excellent.
DoubleTree by Hilton Queenstown
DoubleTree by Hilton Queenstown is the sister hotel to Hilton Queenstown Resort. It is located right next door and offer a slightly cheaper experience. It’s a 4 star but it is at the top end of the 4 star category. It is an excellent option for anyone wanting a really top quality 4star Hotel near Queenstown Airport.
