Cardrona is the home of freestyle with every up and coming young X Games hopeful making it their southern winter base. The quality of the park is unmatched anywhere in the Southern Hemisphere, so for 3 months every year this is where the best park riders in the world can be found. There’s plenty of groomed trails as well, and some great off piste riding too – but the main reason to come here is the parks.
The closest Accomodation is in Wanaka, or Arrowtown, but it’s an easy enough drive from Queenstown as well. If you’re looking for luxurious accommodation nearby then Millbrook is a great option. Oakridge Resort in Wanaka is great too they have plenty of hot pools perfect for couples or families.
