If Cardrona is famous for parks, then Treble Cone is famous for its epic freeriding, deep deep powder, and some of the steepest terrain inside of a ski resort anywhere in the world.

If you want to make fresh tracks, or pick your line down a terrifying chute then this is the place for you. There’s natural half pipes, and plenty of drop offs and some really steep chutes.

Don’t worry there’s plenty of groomed runs here too for intermediate riders, and a great beginners area. Treble Cone has the longest run in the South Island at 4km. It’s also huge at 550 hectares.

Treble Cone is also the longest drive from Queenstown, so if it’s school holidays and you want to avoid the crowds then this is the place to be.
